OHH Community Consultation - Horton Heath Primary School and Community Facilities
We’re preparing to submit a Reserved Matters planning application for a new primary school, sports pitch, pavilion, and allotments within the One Horton Heath development.
A public consultation on the proposals took place between 13 and 27 May 2026, including an in-person event at Fair Oak and Horton Heath Parish Council offices.
This consultation has now closed. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.
Our proposals include:
Primary School
- Opening planned for Autumn 2028
- For children aged 4–11, growing to a three-form entry school
- Outdoor learning space, MUGA and sports facilities
- Specialist resourced provision for pupils with additional needs
Sports and Community Facilities
- 3G sports pitch with floodlights
- Pavilion with changing facilities
- Parking provision, including spaces to support school use
Allotments and Green Space
- A mix of full and half allotment plots
- Delivered to recognised standards
- New pedestrian and cycle routes connecting through the site
These uses have already been approved in principle through the outline planning permission. This stage focuses on the detailed design, including layout, appearance, landscaping and access.
The consultation has now closed and feedback received will be considered as part of the final proposals before the Reserved Matters planning application is submitted.
