Apply for planning permission

Submit your planning application via the Planning Portal

Before you apply

Before we can accept an application as valid, it must contain all required information for it to be assessed. Required information is identified as:

  1. Relevant standard application form
  2. The mandatory national information requirements specified in The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2010 (as amended)
  3. Information to accompany the application as specified by the local planning authority on their local list of information requirements.

Application forms, accompanying guidance notes and our validation checklist can accessed on the Planning Portal

Apply

We strongly recommend that you submit your application via the Planning Portal (please note that submissions via the portal do carry a fee). This will give us the best chance of delivering our service to you in a timely manner.

If you use alternative electronic formats or paper copies, you may experience some delay in registration. The Planning Portal also allows you to submit further information to either validate your application or post-validation drawings and apply for an amendment if you have already obtained permission.
