Relatable and inspirational stories from other women in the Borough
If you are exploring options and just need that extra lightbulb moment - we've got you!
This Girl Can shares women's stories from across the UK to show you're not alone in your worries, family commitments and barriers. They all had to take that first step and their journeys weren't always easy, but the positives have been life changing.

"It was amazing how quickly I started to feel like me..."
A relationship breakdown, juggling a full-time job and being a single mum started to take its toll, and burnout started to set in. It took a GP referral to the Council's HealthWorks team to reinvigorate Sharon's active side and start to prioritise her health in amongst daily pressures and the 'mum guilt'. She's now a Pole and Aerial Fitness instructor and loves to share her passion with others.

Our Original Champions
Our Eastleigh resident champions have been recruited from our SportWorks and HealthWorks programmes as advocates for This Girl Can Eastleigh. Over the coming weeks, our champions will share their journeys, what made them take the first step towards a healthier lifestyle and how regular exercise has transformed their lives!
