Make a payment

There are various ways you can pay your Council Tax:

You will need your Council Tax reference number to sign up for Direct Debit, e-billing, to check your account balance or to make a payment.  This number is the 9-digit reference beginning with "9" which is shown on your council tax bills or correspondence.

  • Direct Debit

The safest and most convenient way to pay. The Council provides a guarantee for paying by this method. Click here for further information

  • Online

With a debit or credit card – click here to pay your bill online. Please note that credit card payments incur a 2% surcharge.

  • By phone

With a debit or credit card – call 0845 606 6518 to make your payment. Please note that credit card payments incur a 2% surcharge

  • Internet Banking

Payments are due on or by the 6th day of each month. You can make a payment or set up a regular payment from your bank account. Eastleigh Borough Council’s bank details are:

  • By post

Send a cheque payable to Eastleigh Borough Council. Please ensure you write your name, address and account reference on the back. Payments are due on or by the 6th day of each month

  • By cash

Visit Eastleigh House and pay cash into the one of the payment machines in our reception area. You will need your Council Tax Account Reference to hand.
