Park Sport
Our annual summer youth sport programme for 8-16 year olds and their families
Our annual summer youth sport programme has officially come to a close
A number of activities will continue to be available on this page until October half term.
Park Sport 2020 was funded by SportWorks as well as the Local Area Committees, Parish and Town Councils. It aimed to provide opportunities for young people (8-16yr olds) and their families to be more active.
The pandemic had a significant impact on all our lives, and it was vital for us to look after our physical and mental health. To help local families do this in fresh ways, we offered safe activities online and at locations across the Borough throughout August 2020. It didn't follow the same format as previous years, but we adapted the project to be more flexible and largely free to help families experiencing financial hardship.

Thank you
The SportWorks team thanks all the providers for their creative time and support to help families, as well as all the young people who embraced the activities this summer.
