Who can enjoy these free family fun days?
The days are for accompanied 4-11 year olds in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.
You will need to apply for an eligibility code (details below) in advance from Hampshire County Council and use this to book places for your family.
Getting your eligibility code
In a change to Hampshire County Council's normal approach, they require all children accessing benefit-related free school meal (FSM) support to be registered with the County Council ahead of booking and attending schemes.
By registering you will receive a unique code that can be used to book places on the Family Fun Days and other HAF-funded projects overseen by the County Council.
The process is quick and easy. Simply complete a form, adding basic details about your child and yourself and then add a contact email address. You will then receive confirmation of your eligibility for the programme, and a unique registration code to use when booking, if eligible.
You will be required to complete one form for each child.
You should hear within three working days if you have been successful. Please contact Hampshire County Council direct in the link provided below if you have any queries about accessing a code.
You will be asked to enter the eligibility codes to complete a Family Fun Days booking.
What's on?
There will be games, crafts and lots more to explore nature, plus we will provide you with a two-course lunch, and free water bottle to take home with you.
Activities will take place in most weathers (excluding heavy rain/wind or thunderstorms) so please dress appropriately.
Thursday 1 August, 10am to 2pm
- Dodge Ball, Circus Skills, Family Cooking*
- Jacket potato, salad, baked beans, grated cheddar (vegan cheese available), and a piece of fruit
Thursday 8 August, 10am to 2pm
- Rounders, African Drumming, Family Cooking*
- Beef/vegetable/vegan burger, potato wedges, coleslaw, and banana and custard
Thursday 15 August, 10am to 2pm
- Frisbee, Winchester Science Centre - exploring nature, Family Cooking*
- Tomato and basil pasta, garlic bread, and jelly (vegan jelly available)
Thursday 22 August, 10am to 2pm
- Team Games, Shelters and Leaf Print Flags, Family Cooking*
- Jacket potato, salad, baked beans, grated cheddar (vegan cheese available), and a piece of fruit
* Family Cooking - you will prepare additional food in this practical session, to take home

How do I get there?
Two free buses will be made available, one from the north of the Borough and one coming from the south (these routes are subject to change before bookings open)
Otherwise you can walk, bike or drive to the Country Park, with free parking permits for booked families.

You will need an eligibility code per child (see below) in order to book, this registration process is already open and we would recommend applying for this in advance, because it can take two to three days to receive your code(s) if eligible.

There isn't a facility for walk-ins, pre-booking is required.
