Six-year-old Harry Stagg from Eastleigh has raised an incredible £450 that he used to do a Christmas food shop for families in need in the Borough. He raised the money through drawing pictures for people that donated to his page.
Following a harvest assembly that highlighted the fact that some families in his area were struggling to put food on the table, Harry decided he wanted to help people in Eastleigh especially during the coronavirus pandemic which has seen so many more families struggling and using the Basics bank. He wanted to help the Eastleigh Basics Bank which was local to him.
He raised the money through his mums Facebook page and drew pictures from home and in just one month was able to raise this fantastic amount.
Harry has raised money through his own idea to directly help his local community and to make sure that children in Eastleigh didn't go hungry during this difficult time and during the Christmas period.
