Gaters Mill conservation area
Area appraisal and management proposals
The Council recently consulted on changes to the Gaters Mill and Romill Close Area Appraisal, originally designated in May 1989. This included the exclusion of Romill Close from the Conservation Area boundary following a reassessment of its special interest. Please note that the existing Article 4 directions relating to the important architectural elements of a few of the cottages in the row are retained.
The Gaters Mill conservation area appraisal was formally adopted by Eastleigh Borough Council on 19 December 2025 and we are contacting all those directly affected by the proposals.
