Unauthorised encampments
Council requesting occupants vacate sites
The Council is aware of an unauthorised encampment on land at Fleming Park, Eastleigh.
There are currently 13 caravans and between 14 to 20 other vehicles on the site. They arrived on Tuesday night at around 9pm.
The park's paddling pool has been closed as a precaution.
The Council is now following its normal procedure for dealing with unauthorised encampments. Our officers are visiting the encampment to request that the occupants leave the site and we are continuing to monitor the situation.
Council officers have also visited an unauthorised encampment on Blackberry Drive, Fair Oak and a S77(1) Direction has now been served on the group who were given until midday on Wednesday 20 August to vacate the site.
