Southampton Airport Planning application – how to take part
Eastleigh Local Area Committee will be considering Southampton Airport planning application on Thursday 25 March. The meeting will start at 10am and will be held online as a Microsoft Teams Live Event with scheduled breaks built into the agenda.
If you who would like to address the committee as part of the live event should contact Democratic Services [email protected] or telephone 07823 626625 or 07876 217751 as soon as they can. The team will be happy to guide you through this new process and the available participation options. Participants will need to use a desktop device as a mobile device will not work and you will need a reliable internet connection.
Participants can either speak, provide an audio/video statement or provide a written statement that will be read out on their behalf. All participants will have up to three minutes each with equal time allowed for those wishing to speak for or against. As a public meeting, contributors are asked to respect the timings and plan comments accordingly. This also applies to audio/ video recordings also.
12 noon Friday 19 March - deadline for registering and submitting statements
If you are able to participate live (meeting technical requirements) and wish to be present and speak, you will need to notify Democratic Services by the deadline date.
If you want to provide a video (MP4 file) you must send it to Democratic Services by the deadline date. This must be accompanied by an emailed written transcript -in case the file does not meet technical requirements the transcript will be read by the spokesperson and shown on the screen.
If you want to send a written statement these will need to be received by the deadline date. Democratic Services will confirm receipt of the email and confirm it can be read out. Written statements should take no longer than three minutes to read
