Fun activity days at Itchen Valley for free school meal families
Free fun-filled activity days take place at Itchen Valley Country Park this summer holidays for families in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.
Eastleigh Borough Council are hosting Family Fun Days over four Thursdays this August at their newly refurbished Itchen Valley Country Park. They include outdoor activity sessions and a two-course meal.
They are available for accompanied four to 11 year-olds in receipt of benefits-related free school meals. Families can already apply for an eligibility code required prior to booking, Family Fun Days booking then opens Thursday 11 July.
They take place on Thursdays 1 to 22 August, 10am to 2pm and offer games, crafts and lots more to explore nature, plus a family-friendly and healthy two-course meal, and bites from a family cooking session with an activity book to take home.
There will be two exclusive free buses, with routes in from the north and south of the Borough to ensure these Family Fun Days are as accessible as possible.
The funding was secured from the Government’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme, via Hampshire County Council Connect4Communities, and supported through the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
