The Eastleigh, Chandler’s Ford and District Branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding their Festival of Remembrance at The Point, Eastleigh on Sunday 26 October at 3pm with The Band of the Hampshire Constabulary.

Tickets are £13.50 and can be booked from The Point Box Office. All proceeds in aid of the Poppy Appeal.

Remembrance services and Parades will be held around the Borough on Sunday 9 November.

An Armistice Day (11.11.11) Service will be held at 10.45am on Tuesday 11 November at the War Memorial in Eastleigh Recreation Ground.

The Council will again be erecting the two large poppies on the bandstand to provide a very visual sign of support for this year’s remembrance. People can tie a poppy onto the bandstand to show their support and respect.

Poppy Appeal volunteers are vital to enable the Royal British Legion to support the Armed Forces community.
