They can help you whether you're a first time quitter, need help with withdrawal symptoms, or could do with regular contact to get you through.

The smoke cessation service for the Borough is SmokeFree Hampshire. They provide the following free services via their friendly 'quit coaches':

  • Flexible in-person or phone support from expert mentors
  • Free quit aids, including vapes, patches and medication.
  • 12-week video programme designed to help make this journey work for you
  • Online articles, tips and guides to propel you forward
  • Free extras like a quit journal, recipe book and online gym pass.

There's also a quit plan and downloadable app you can access via the NHS

An 18-month 2025/26 campaign is funded by Hampshire County Council and aims to support Smokefree Hampshire reach and engage with other borough councils and partners across the county, also awarded with matching grants.
