Welcome to Lakeside Country Park

22 hectares of lakes, wet meadow and woodland situated along Wide Lane between Eastleigh and Southampton.

These restored gravel works offer the ideal day out for all, and for the keen-eyed, the Country Park has a range of birds, insects and small mammals as well as the occasional fox and deer. Enjoy a walk around with your dog on the designated paw trail or stop and have lunch at one of our picnic sites. Relax with a days fishing, or a fun ride on the train, or just watch the world go by...

** New Lakeside Centre **

The Council has replaced the old buildings at Lakeside Country Park with a brand new storage building and waterside centre. It is called The Lakeside Centre'.

To find out more about the new buildings, please see the New Lakeside Waterside Centre page.

Please do not feed the geese and ducks as:  It encourages disease (enteritis in ducks). It can attract rats and more food means more rats! It pollutes the water.
