Flexford Nature Reserve

Flexford Nature Reserve is a peaceful and wildlife-rich green space owned and managed by Eastleigh Borough Council. Tucked away within the local landscape, the reserve offers a valuable haven for nature as well as a quiet place for people to enjoy the outdoors.

The reserve is characterised by a mosaic of habitats including woodland, wetland, and grassland, which together support a wide variety of plants and animals. The presence of the Monks Brook adds to the ecological value of the site, providing an important wildlife corridor and supporting species such as birds, amphibians, and invertebrates.

Flexford Nature Reserve plays an important role in conserving local biodiversity, with its habitats carefully managed to encourage wildlife to thrive. Seasonal changes bring different sights and sounds, from spring wildflowers and birdsong to the rich colours and textures of autumn.

Open to the public, the reserve provides opportunities for gentle recreation such as walking, quiet observation, and connecting with nature, while helping to protect and enhance the natural environment for future generations.
