Volunteers celebrated at Itchen Valley
Mayor honours dedication and hard work
Local volunteers were welcomed by the Mayor of Eastleigh at Itchen Valley Country Park for a special celebration to honour their dedication in supporting Council projects and venues across the Borough.
The Mayor, Councillor David Pragnell, shared a cream tea with the volunteers and thanked them for their hard work.
Attendees at this special event represented over 200 volunteers who help with the Green Spaces teams, Plant Eastleigh project, and The Point and Berry Theatres.
Roles include Country Parks and open spaces conservation and events volunteering, aa well as theatre ushers and walk leaders. They all help to support the health and wellbeing of both the volunteers and the community, as well as nurture local habitats for years to come.
The event took place in The Hide, the new event space at Itchen Valley Country Park’s High Hill Field.
