Unauthorised encampment at Fleming Park

28 July 2025

The Council is aware of an unauthorised encampment, numbering around 21 caravans and associated vehicles, at Fleming Park in Eastleigh, in the area of the park’s paddling pool.

As part of our normal procedure, our officers have visited the site to gather information required as part of the eviction process and are working with our Legal team on issuing a formal notice requesting that the encampment leaves the location. We are also liaising with the police.

The paddling pool has been closed to the public and drained as a temporary measure.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates.

We have published some frequently asked questions on unauthorised encampments that residents may find helpful.
