#Team EBC staff fundraise while staying connected and active

Council staff spent May staying in shape – and fundraising - as they adapted to new ways of working during lockdown.
Move it May High Five was inspired by the Wessex Cancer Trust’s campaign to fundraise while carrying out active challenges. The Council took this one step further and built on the Instagram Run 5 Donate 5 campaign to create a nomination chain of set challenges through teams - including running, biking, squats, press ups, strength holds and ‘partner ups’ with pets or other household members.
Inspirational stories and experiences (from as far as Lancashire) were shared weekly and have been collected in this celebration video. Some speak of exploration and discovering as a family, others started the Couch to 5k challenge or their own personal journeys.
Thanks to Wessex Cancer Trust for their support and permission to open up the fundraiser to other charities – as we know, many charities are struggling with donations over lockdown.
“What a fab team you have at Eastleigh…we're really pleased by the amazing support we received so thank you so much”
