Spring has sprung in our theatres
A feast of comedy, music, drama, cinema, classes and loads of kids’ stuff
It may be winter outside…but the Spring programme at Eastleigh Borough’s two main theatres is bringing a warm glow into the lives of local residents.
With a feast of comedy, music, drama, cinema, classes and fun for all the family, The Point Eastleigh and The Berry Theatre in Hedge End are continuing their tradition of top-notch entertainment, with some big-name acts coming to the Borough.
The Berry Theatre has established itself as a major destination for comedy, and that reputation will be further enhanced with an amazing Spring line-up of top names - including appearances by David Baddiel (pictured), Punt & Dennis, Mark Watson, Miles Jupp, Matt Forde and Russell Kane, while The Berry Funny Comedy Club (see what we did there?) is a showcase for up-and-coming stand-up talent.
Music lovers will welcome leading tributes to Harry Styles and Mumford & Sons. And Elton fans will love the singalong version of the Rocket Man biopic.
There’s drama too, including The Hound of the Baskervilles, with former Dr Who, Colin Baker.
The venues' family programme includes return visits from The Bubble Show and Morgan and West's Massive Magic Show for Kids.
The Point also has a great programme for younger people - with Playtime: Play-along Theatre Adventures and The Museum of Marvellous Things.
Theatre includes Emil and the Detectives, Boy on the Roof and The Spirit of Woodstock. And there’s an appearance by acclaimed stand-up Chris McCausland.
