Residents thank our refuse crews
Residents across the borough have been leaving messages of thanks and support thanking Eastleigh Borough Council’s refuse crews for their hard work and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic and the crews are proudly displaying many of these messages in the cabs of their vehicles.
The refuse crews completing their collections have been overwhelmed by the brightly coloured pictures and messages of thanks for their hard work over the lockdown period.
Council Leader Keith House said “The Council and residents are extremely grateful for the dedication and commitment from these key workers who are continuing to work during this difficult time. These messages of thanks have been a real boost for the refuse crews who, when most of us are staying safe in our homes, are out working day after day to ensure our waste and recycling is collected.”
Residents are also helping to do their bit by taking extra measures and to clean the handles of their bins before and after collections to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
