Residents reminded to keep their distance in green spaces

Local people are reminded to keep to ensure they stay at least 2 metres (3 steps) away from anyone they do not live with or anyone not in your support bubble when enjoying a walk in our country parks, woodland or other green spaces.

A Council spokesperson said, “Being outside in a local park woodland or open space park is a good thing to do and is an excellent way to maintain health and wellbeing – provided independent walkers stay more than two metres from others. Getting outdoors to enjoy fresh air, exercise, walk the dog or enjoy a walk is good but please remember to take your responsibilities seriously and keep your distance from others as we all play our part in tackling Covid 19.”
