Report flooding due to heavy leaf fall
Local residents are being asked to report problems of flooding due to heavy leaf fall to help the Council identify and deal with problem areas quicker.
Over the last few days the heavy rain and high winds has resulted in large accumulations of leaves that in some places can cause flooding by blocking drains. The Council has got all its sweepers out working to clear leaves as we know there have been problems in the past in certain areas.
A Council spokesperson said, “If there is a problem with leaves blocking drains in your area residents are advised to report the issue through the Council’s customers services team. This will help to identify any problem areas quicker and enable the council to plan and redirect some of its resources to deal with any localised flooding problems.
