UPDATED - Quobleigh Weir works – advance notice
Works will begin at Quobleigh Weir, near the One Horton Heath development from the first half of May.
A section of the riverbank has become unstable and will be removed to ensure the area is safe. This will include restoring the bank to a more natural condition, with additional structural support where required.
The works, being carried out by Eastleigh Borough Council’s Engineering Team, are expected to take approximately two weeks. The works were pushed back a couple of weeks due to access and ground conditions.
Ecological considerations remain a priority, with appropriate checks undertaken ahead of works and measures in place to protect local wildlife.
Temporary access restrictions will be in place in the immediate area, and some noise may occur during normal working hours.
