The Council is appealing for witnesses who may have seen or have information about acts of vandalism at Pirelli Park Play Area, Eastleigh.

There has been ongoing vandalism to the main piece of equipment on this popular play area. The Council has now fenced off this piece equipment as it is unsafe to use and so repairs can take place. As the play area is constructed of bespoke equipment it will unfortunately take some time for the equipment to be replaced.

Chair of Eastleigh Local Area Committee Cllr Alex Bourne said, “This is a mindless act of vandalism that has ruined this popular play area that will now have to remain closed for some time. It will also mean a significant repair bill for local taxpayers. I would strongly urge anyone who witnessed or has any information about this incident to please contact the Police on 101 or contact the Council on 023 8068 8000.”
