The Eastleigh Sport & Physical Activity Alliance (SPAA) has opened nominations for the eleventh Eastleigh Sports Awards, after a year gap due to the pandemic.
The ceremony will take place at The Hilton at Ageas Bowl on Monday 9 May 2022, and you are invited to nominate your local sporting heroes for their talent, devotion and passion.
It’s not just the top-level athletes who can celebrate a successful 2020 and 2021; Schools, coaches, volunteers and projects are all in the spotlight over ten categories. Two brand new categories for this year are the Innovation and Health & Wellbeing awards: drawing on the amazing flexible and creative work done during the pandemic.
Cabinet Lead for Health, Cllr Tonia Craig, said: “The Eastleigh Sports Awards are a great opportunity to highlight inspirational individuals, groups and teams. They all contribute to, provide and promote a variety of sports and physical activities in the Borough. This is your opportunity to shout about local talent and celebrate unsung heroes.”
