We’ve partnered with Earthwatch Europe to plant a new ‘Tiny Forest’ at Fleming Park, Eastleigh.

A Tiny Forest is a dense, fast-growing, native woodland about the size of a tennis court. Tiny Forests are not only an attractive location for wildlife, but for people as well. They also provide a range of benefits in the fight against climate change

Community planting day

The planting of the Tiny Forest will take place on Monday 28 March, between 11.30am and 3pm. The planting day, which is being run by Earthwatch, is open to all ages and is free to attend, but you need to register in advance.

Find out more about the day and register to attend.

The planting day will be the third such event to have taken place in the Borough this year, following two successful tree planting days at Itchen Valley Country Park.

The Council has set itself the target to have 160,000 more trees in the Borough by the year 2030.
