New road - The Avenue opens
We’re pleased to share that the new One Horton Heath road, The Avenue, is now open for public use. This much-anticipated route spans 1.2 miles, connecting Burnett’s Lane South to Allington Lane North.
Councillor Keith House, Leader of Eastleigh Borough Council, said:
“This opening marks a much-anticipated key milestone in improving local connectivity, providing a vital link between Fair Oak, Horton Heath and Hedge End, and helping to ease congestion in the area.”
Please note, The Avenue connects to a live construction site, so we ask all residents and road users to exercise caution and stay alert as construction vehicles will continue to operate in the area.
