Local children are now able to enjoy a range of new play equipment following the recent opening of a new play at Barnfield Way in Hedge End.

The new play area provides a safe, fun and challenging experience and is aimed at children up to 12 years of age.  It includes a range of equipment including; Spinmee, DDA Inclusive Roundabout, Rota-Roka Spinner, Vippy Seesaw and a Multi-Unit Log Snake Weaver.

Cllr Jane Welsh Chair of Hedge End Town Council Recreation Committee said, “I am delighted that the new play area is now open and that local children are already enjoying this new facility. I would also remind parents to take care when crossing Barnfield Way.”

Chair of Bursledon, Hamble and Hound Local Area Committee Cllr Tonia Craig said, “We were pleased to provide the funding for this great new community facility. It will provide local children in the area with the chance to enjoy a range of play equipment in a safe environment and also  encourages them to keep active."
