New play area opens at Bowlake Gardens, Bishopstoke
Local children can now enjoy a new play area that has been installed and is now open at Bowlake Gardens, Bishopstoke.
The new play area that provides a safe, fun and challenging experience is aimed at children up to 12 years of age. It centres around a multiactivity unit that includes a tunnel slide together with a mini rope net, mini play panels, circular trampoline, spring riders and a disability accessible roundabout.
The play area also includes safety surfacing around and under each bit of equipment. It has been funded from financial contributions from the developers of nearby new housing schemes and was installed by Vita Play Limited who are a local company based in Winchester.
Chair of Bishopstoke, Fair Oak & Horton Heath Local Area Committee Cllr Nick Couldrey said, “We are really pleased to invest in these new play facilities for this area. This new play equipment will provide local children in the area with the chance to enjoy a range of play equipment in a safe environment which also encourages them to keep active.”
