Thanks to an ambitious new energy advice service spanning Hampshire including Eastleigh, Southampton and Portsmouth, homeowners can now easily access tailored, free and impartial advice for making their home warmer, cheaper to run, and fit for future.

My home made better is a brand new, home energy advice service supported by Eastleigh Borough Council that offers free and impartial advice to homeowners making big decisions.

Led by experienced energy advisers at the Environment Centre (tEC), My Home Made Better recognises that generic information on heating, insulation and solar panels isn’t enough, and that householders need relatable guidance unique to their property and circumstances.  The service helps homeowners get to the bottom of why their home might be losing heat in winter, what’s causing high energy bills, and even whether there are opportunities to increase the property’s value or earn money by selling electricity back to the grid.

My Home Made Better is more than a phone line; it’s a regionwide effort to inspire, educate and connect people, particularly amongst the growing community of householders who have already acted and want to share their experiences with others.

If you’d like to explore options for your home, simply phone 0800 804 8601 or email [email protected]. For inspiration, case studies and videos from around the region, head to www.myhomemadebetter.org.
