Here are some of the highlights from the morning...

Air Quality Panel

The panel discussed the Council's Air Quality Action Plan as well as how businesses can make small changes to help the environment. Find out more about Air Quality on our website.
The panel featured Richard Billingham- Ageas Insurance, Andy Shaw- Bluestar Buses and Isabel Hessey- Pollution Control Officer, Eastleigh Borough Council.

EMphasis3 CO2 Project

Richard Hall from Greentech South shared details of a new funding scheme the clean tech cluster will be delivering. 

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding can be used for energy efficiency audits and grants and innovation (R&I) grants.

Solent LEP

Kate Cloud from Solent LEP shared details of the business support they have to offer and the funding available for businesses.

Healthy eating in the workplace panel

The Panel discussed how businesses can encourage their staff to be healthy in the workplace as well as initiatives in the Borough to help the community to stay healthy and ensure food is safe. 
The Panel members were Ross McLean- Head of Health and Wellbeing at Eastleigh Borough Council, Matt Blythe- Principal Environmental Health Officer at Eastleigh Borough Council and  Linda Kennedy- HC3S

Recycling of Commercial Food Waste

Paul Naylor, the head of Eastleigh's Direct Services team shared exciting new plans to launch a Commercial Food Waste collection service for businesses in April 2020.
