Hedge End Village temporary car park completed
Following the demolition of the former Budgen’s supermarket site the Council has constructed a new temporary car park for visitors to the village to use.
The new car park will open on the morning of Monday 15 June when the opportunity for non essential shops to re-open takes place. The car park that provides 27 extra parking spaces together with two disabled bays and parking for motorcyclists will be free to the public.
Cabinet Lead for Regeneration Cllr Ian Corben said, “The demolition of the former Budgen’s site was an important step and I am pleased that, while we continue to work hard to ensure we get the right solution for this site, we have provided a temporary car park at the heart of the village for local people to use.”
All visitors to Hedge End village are reminded to abide by the current social distancing measures and stay safe.
