Great Green Wardrobe at The Point in Eastleigh
The display urges people to make sustainable fashion choices
Eastleigh’s The Point Theatre is hosting The Great Green Wardrobe - an interactive display designed to inspire more sustainable fashion choices Until Friday 21st November.
Did you know that 711,000 tonnes of used textiles are discarded in the UK each year? — that’s roughly 35 items per person.
However, it’s estimated that most of us haven’t worn around a third of the clothes we own in the past year.
So, whether it’s ‘shopping your wardrobe’, swapping, repairing, upcycling or bagging a second-hand bargain, the Great Green Wardrobe provides inspiration on how to stay stylish, save money and help the planet.
The display was created by Hampshire County Council as part of their waste prevention initiative: Smart living | Waste and recycling | Hampshire County Council
