Free public art event at North Stoneham Park
Free public art event at North Stoneham Park
Protected Views is a new Public Art Commission for North Stoneham Park by Michael Pinsky, and we would like to invite the community to take part in the project. Join us on Sunday 3 October to meet the artist and get involved in the project.
One of the key roles for the Public Art brief for this site was to bring to life the connection with the history of the parkland whilst celebrating the changing landscape as it evolves into this new community.
Meet at the YMCA Community Cafe from 12 noon to watch the artist - Michael Pinsky and his team assemble the prototypes. You can see prototypes of the sculptures and join them on a ramble through the neighbourhood to hunt for suitable locations for the new sculptures commissioned especially for North Stoneham Park.
The activity will start at 1pm, this is an outdoor activity some of which may be in mixed terrain, so if you're attending please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
You can register here for this free event.
