Flexford Nature Reserve open to the public again
Flexford Nature Reserve is now open to the public again following some essential maintenance work to footpaths, bridges and waterways to make it more accessible and more enjoyable for visitors.
We invested £75k awarded from the local developments ‘New Home Bonus’, to enhance this popular nature reserve, and with the help of a team of volunteers working alongside the contractors we were able to open the area slightly earlier than anticipated.
As part of the work pathways were cleared and made more accessible, the bridge was rebuilt and brash was cleared from Monks Brook.
A section of the pathway before the improvement work took place.
After work was completed. Contractors laid a new surface and improved the ground condition.
