Enjoy a bank holiday bluebell walk
Enjoy the bluebells at Itchen Valley Country Park
Why not enjoy a bluebell walk at Itchen Valley Country Park, West End over the upcoming bank holiday weekends.
This year's cold and wet spring means many bluebells are flowering slightly later and many sites are likely to be at their best during the first two weeks of May.
Bluebells are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and our country parks volunteers have been hard at work coppicing hazel during the winter that has been used to create dead hedges along the forest trail to help protect the bluebells.
Visitors to the park can take a stroll through The Woodland Nature Reserve which boasts an abundance of bluebells and other wildflowers.
You can pick up a trail map from the Woodland Café which is open daily 10.30am -4.30pm.
