Employability Day at Wyvern College
Simon Mason, Residential & Disposal Marketing Lead from our One Horton Heath team, went along to an Employability Interview Day at Wyvern College to help students prepare for the world of work.
The aim of the day is to help year 10 students prepare for the world of work by putting them in an interview scenario with people from all business backgrounds.
Students were able to experience meeting an interviewer from outside of the school environment and answer questions that they might face in an interview for a real employer.
The One Horton Heath project will open up a great deal of potential job opportunities for young people in the area, with the prospect of apprenticeships and entry level roles to help them find their career path.
Katie Bruce, Careers Leader at Wyvern College, said: " The students enjoyed the day immensely and gained such positive experiences from it. They feel much more confident and know what they need to work on before their next interview."
