Eastleigh Mela returns
The Asian Welfare and Cultural Association (AWCA) are working with Eastleigh Borough Council to bring back the Eastleigh Mela for the 11th year. Taking place at Leigh Road Recreation ground in Eastleigh next to The Point (SO50 9DE), this exciting cultural event will take place between 11am and 6pm and will be an exciting day of cultural celebration.
Highlights of the day will include; a climbing wall, circus skills and roam around entertainment, a great variety of food concessions, a variety of small stalls, small local businesses, and charity information stands.
The mainstage will feature a variety of entertainment throughout the day, including live bands, DJ sets, community groups, and cultural dance, representing a variety of diverse cultural entertainment.
The site will be divided into different ‘zones’ so that there is something for everyone. The health zone will provide basic health checks and signposting, the information zone will showcase and champion local community groups and emergency services, the family zone will have a variety of activities for people of all ages, and the food zone previously mentioned.
