Eastleigh local area grant scheme opens
Charities and not for profit organisations in the Eastleigh town area now have the chance to apply for grant funding as part of the Eastleigh Local Area Committee (ELAC) community grant scheme that opened on Monday 21 October.
There is a total fund of £10,000 that charities and not for profit organisations can apply for, with grants up to a maximum of £2500 being awarded under the following criteria;
- Grants will be awarded for one off projects, equipment and individual events
- Grants are not for day to day costs (such as hall hire cost, salaries)
- Previously funded projects will not normally receive funding if you have received funding within two years from ELAC.
- Provide the most recently published accounts, if the applicant has more than 10% of annual running costs in their unallocated reserves, then no grant will be awarded
Applications for grants must be received by 18 November 2019. Once your application form has been submitted the Eastleigh Local Area Committee will consider your application and will inform applicants of their decision.
Chair of ELAC Cllr Paul Bicknell said, “We are delighted to support the work of local charities and community groups with this grant funding. The Local Area Committee acknowledges the invaluable work that many organisations and volunteers provide for the community. I encourage all local charities and community groups across the Eastleigh town area to apply."
