Bookings open on Monday 3 July
The Borough’s popular annual Eastleigh Active programme (formerly Park Sport) is back and will take place over August 2023 to provide children and young people with the chance to be more active, make friends, try something new and have fun this summer.
The programme run from Monday 31 July to 25 August during the school summer holidays for five 16 year-olds. It sees the return of free popular activities, such as the free SkateJams and Free Swimming, as well as the new events at multiple locations across the Borough.
Introductory Sessions including new age kurling, street basketball, junior gym sessions and more familiar football, golf and archery.
Sessions require pre-bookings and the swimming requires pre-registration. More information
The Council’s Cabinet Lead for Health, Councillor Tonia Craig, said: “We are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of all our community which is why we are proud to provide Eastleigh Active again this year. These subsidised activities help children and young people to be more active and try new ways to have fun during the summer.”
Eastleigh Active is funded by Eastleigh Borough Council’s SportWorks, as well as the Local Area Committees, Parish and Town Councils, and supported by a broad range of partners including sports clubs, activity providers and venues.
The packed programme includes golf, archery, nerf-warz and aerial hoops.
