Sessions to help Eastleigh Borough residents improve their cycling skills and confidence on the road take place this September and October.
CycleTogether Eastleigh partners with Sustrans, the walking and cycling charity, to engage residents in training and events to cycle more, cycle safely and discover new routes across the Borough. It also aims to build a supportive cycling community in the Borough.
The Council is looking to help make cycling a part of everyday journeys with sessions on bike maintenance courses, road cycle skills, child/pet trailer use. There are also dates for free local bike servicing and led group bike rides.
This autumn, the sessions are being boosted by Hampshire County Council’s Life’s Better By Bike campaign
Eastleigh Borough Council’s Cabinet Member Health, Cllr Tonia Craig, said:” These sessions have proven a great success over the summer – so we hope residents take advantage of the range on offer to help ride, learn and connect this autumn”
The project is funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
