Council reduces all day parking charges
The Council has reduced charges for all day parking in the Mitchell Road Multi-Storey car park in Eastleigh town centre by over 40% from £8.50 to just £5 per day. The day rate charges apply on Monday to Saturday and started on Monday 15 May.
Chair of Eastleigh Area Committee Cllr Alex Bourne said, “This is a great initiative to help people who work in the town with the cost of parking. We are aware that since Covid many people don’t come in to work everyday and so don’t require a season ticket. This allows workers and commuters to pay just £5 on a daily basis.”
He added, “With everyone currently feeling the effects of the increased cost of living a saving of £3.50 per day means you could park all day and also have a sandwich or cup of coffee on the Council.”
