Eastleigh Borough Council has today suspended charges in its Council run car parks to help NHS/key workers.  However, the message to local residents is to continue to follow Government guidelines and only go shopping for essential food and medicines.

Car park charges have been suspended in the following car parks;

Pay on foot car parks

Mitchell Road Multi-storey
Swan Centre roof top car park

Pay and display car parks

Wells Place - Swan Centre Undercroft
Romsey Road
Leigh Road (adjacent to Bingo Hall)
Hanns Way
Southampton Road
Bishopstoke Road (The Hub)
Hedge End Train Station
Hamble Square

NB - It does not include Itchen Valley Country Park where charges still apply.

On Street Parking

Charges will still apply for Eastleigh town centre on-street parking to ensure spaces are not used for long-term parking. However, the machines have been signed to advise visitors that we are offering double the paid-for time – for example, buy 30 minutes then have another 30 minutes free.  Visitors should be aware that the expiry time on the Pay & Display ticket won’t change, but there will be no enforcement for the extra period of time.

The on-street extra time offer is only for Eastleigh town centre; Pay & Display charges still apply with no extra time given for areas outside of Eastleigh town centre at;
Chickenhall Lane, Falkland Road, and Chestnut Avenue in Eastleigh
Stroudley Way in Hedge End
