Consultation on new wayfinding trail in Bursledon, Hamble and Hound
Help to shape new public art trail in your area
Residents of Bursledon, Hamble and Hound are being invited to get involved in an exciting public art project, commissioned by the Council.
The project will see the creation of The History and Heritage Wayfinding Trail. Part-funded by South Western Railway, the new trail will improve walking and cycling access to and from Bursledon, Hamble and Netley railway stations.
The project will also produce a ‘vision’ document to guide the delivery of future public art wayfinding projects.
Eastleigh-based arts and landscape architecture consultancy ‘People Place Nature‘(PPN) has been commissioned to run the project. They are looking for residents to help with determining routes, identifying local heritage features, and generating ideas for waymarking, signposting and public artworks.
Interested residents can come along to the following ‘drop in‘ public workshops:
- 23 Feb 2pm to 5.30pm at the Abbey Hall in Hound
- 28 Feb 2pm to 5.30pm at the Pilands Wood Community Centre in Bursledon
