Businesses vote for Eastleigh BID to continue

Town centre businesses have voted overwhelmingly for the Eastleigh Business Improvement District (BID) to continue to operate for a further five years from April 2024. The ballot of almost 300 Eastleigh businesses closed yesterday (2 November).
The current Eastleigh BID commenced on 1 April 2019 for a five-year term and is financed through a BID levy on the rateable value of town centre businesses. It was set up to deliver business support, marketing, promotion and events and to ensure a safe, clean and welcoming town centre with good access and car parking.
