Community grants for Eastleigh area and Borough-wide
A range of community grants are available from Eastleigh Borough Council to support community projects and organisations.
Each grant has its own timeline, criteria and required supporting documentation - so applicants should read the guidelines thoroughly before submitting an application.
The following community grants have opened until Monday 28 February, 12 noon:
The grants are available for non-profit making community groups, voluntary organisations, trusts, friendly societies, social enterprises and community interest companies all of whom can apply provided that their objectives are charitable as defined by the Charity Act 2006.
NEW Youth Community Grant - ELAC
Eastleigh Local Area Committee (ELAC) have launched a new youth community grant. The committee are offering funding of up to £500 to groups and projects which aim to support and improve the lives of young people living in Eastleigh town centre and surrounding residential areas.
ELAC is particularly keen to fund projects which support young people’s mental health, create new opportunities, or help them to access existing services and groups.
Annual borough-wide grant
The Council’s borough-wide community grant scheme has opened offering grants of up to £1,000.
Priority is given to groups whose aims reflect our priorities of promoting health, prosperity, the environment, community development and community involvement, with a focus on doing more for less, for example, projects that help the community save money or make their money go further, like an upcycling project.
The grant be used for:
- Purchase of equipment or materials
- Contribution towards running costs
- Funding specific projects
- Development of the organisation.
