Benches replaced in Hamble
After more than 30 years the concrete bench seats in Hamble, on the Southern Quay have been replaced thanks to funding allocated to Hamble Parish Council.
£40,000 of developer contributions has been given towards replacing the benches in Hamble.
The project took five weeks to complete with minimum disruption for residents and visitors. The Parish Council also took the opportunity to include raised beds around each set of seats (courtesy of the contractor) which have been planted with new shrubs and trees along with 600 bulbs donated by the local contractor, Wren Construction.
The Parish Council have received a lot of praise for the way the work was undertaken, and people are extremely happy with the end result.
