Application submitted for Post Office site
Eastleigh Local Area Committee will be considering an application for the former Post Office site on High Street, Eastleigh at its meeting on 19 January.
The proposed application is for a mixed use scheme comprising commercial space and flats within two buildings and a public realm open space between them.
The proposal aims to promote economic regeneration within the town centre and includes commercial space on the ground floor of both buildings including the frontage onto High Street once occupied by the Post Office. The scheme also seeks to enhance links between High Street and Market Street
Residential development will be provided on the upper floors in both buildings. In total it is proposed to provide 10 x one bedroom flats and 18 x two bedroom flats across the two buildings. All of the flats will be for made available for rent with 10 of them provided for affordable rent.
