New Affordable Housing in Eastleigh Borough

New Affordable Housing Development          

Affordable Housing is secured through the planning process whereby we seek to secure 35% Affordable Housing on sites of 15 dwellings or more and 20% on sites of 11-14 dwellings. Our objective is to deliver homes with a view to meeting the needs of both those on the housing register and those requiring low cost home ownership.

New developments within the Eastleigh borough will include a variety of different types of housing, which may include affordable rented, shared ownership, intermediate rented, and older persons. Some of these homes will also be built to wheelchair accessible standards.

Rented properties will be advertised on Hampshire Homechoice and shared ownership properties will be advertised on the Help to Buy South website.

Below is a list of the sites which are currently on site and delivering affordable homes:

 

Land off Winchester Road, FairoakHARDINGS LANE

This site is being developed by Bloor Homes & Linden Homes in conjunction with Stonewater. The development is due to provide a total of 116 affordable homes which will be in a range of sizes and will be available for both rent and Shared Ownership. Phases 2 and 3 are underway with the next affordable homes expected to complete during Spring 2017.

Mill Street, EastleighThe Sidings Webfile

This site is being developed by Taylor Wimpey in conjunction with Aster Homes. The development is due to provide a total of 29 affordable homes which will be in a range of sizes and will be available for both rent and Shared Ownership. The first affordable homes have completed on the development, with more homes expected during Spril 2017.
