Corporate performance

Regular monitoring and management of the Council’s operational and financial performance is essential to understanding and supporting delivery against the Council's Corporate Plan and in fulfilling the delivery of the Council’s core services. The Council’s corporate performance framework includes quarterly reporting to the Policy and Performance Scrutiny Panel and Cabinet.

The framework enables us to:

  • Ensure the relevant activities across the Council align to delivery of the themes set out in the Council’s Corporate Plan
  • Monitor the delivery of the actions identified within the Council’s Corporate Plan Three-Year Action Plan (with the latest version covering 2023-2026)
  • Monitor team and individual progress against service plans and individual objectives
  • Ensure effective decision making is taking place across the organisation at all levels
  • Strive for continuous improvement by taking action based on performance information

The Council regularly monitors a set of over 50 Corporate Performance Indicators (CPIs) on a monthly or quarterly basis. Charts and data tables for these CPIs are provided as an appendix to the quarterly corporate performance reports. The data produced for this financial year so far can be found below.
